Robert J. Reagan - Partner

Robert J. Reagan received a B.A. in 1967 from Loyola University, and he earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University in 1990. While in law school, Mr. Reagan was a Research Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review. In 1988, he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law.

Mr. Reagan worked for a year as a briefing attorney for the Texas Court of Appeals, Fifth District in Dallas. From 1991 to 2012, Mr. Reagan was Adjunct Instructor for the Legal Assistant Certification Program at El Centro College, Dallas County Community College District where he taught Real Estate law and Civil Procedure.

Mr. Reagan is licensed to practice in Texas state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, serving as Vice-Chair of the Library Committee from 1999-2000, and as Chair in 2001. He is also a member of the Dallas Bar’s Solo and Small Firm Section and its Probate Section. Mr. Reagan is a member of the State Bar of Texas, General Practice, Litigation, Estate Planning and Probate Sections; and the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism. He served as a member of the State Bar of Texas District 6A Grievance Committee from 1999 to 2003. Mr. Reagan is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Before practicing law, Mr. Reagan served in the United States Army with overseas tours in Korea, attaining the rank of Captain. He also was a detective in the Dallas Police Department, working in the Crimes Against Property Section and the Special Investigations Unit. He founded and operated a private security business which installed and maintained alarm and television surveillance systems. Over the course of this military, law enforcement, business, and legal careers, Mr. Reagan has gained extensive experience in understanding the needs of businesses of all sizes.

He focuses his practice on representing business and individuals in general civil litigation, creditors’ rights, contested matters in bankruptcy cases, and probate and estate administration and litigation.
