LaKisha Pressley Lee admitted to the South Carolina Bar.
The South Carolina Supreme Court convened on June 5, 2007 to swear in LaKisha Pressley Lee of Reagan & McLain and other attorneys who have completed all requirements for admission to practice law in the State of South Carolina. Immediately following the oath, each attorney signed the Roll of Attorneys which contained the signatures of every attorney admitted to practice in South Carolina since 1809.
South Carolina requires every attorney seeking admission to practice law in the state to not only pass the three-day bar examination but to complete a three-day intensive course designed to assist the new South Carolina lawyer in the transition to the practice of law in South Carolina.
Although admitted to practice law in South Carolina, an attorney can not appear as counsel in any hearing, trial, or deposition in a case pending before a court of South Carolina until the attorney has acquired and had approved the requisite trial experiences mandated by South Carolina Appellate Court Rule 403. The trial experiences must include one civil jury trial, one criminal jury trial, one family court trial, and either one trial in equity or an administrative proceeding. Mrs. Lee has satisfied all of the requisite trial experiences.
